DMM TV has a public region API (its own website uses it) that other pages are allowed to read. Your browser asks it directly, over your route, and it answers whether you can use DMM TV and which country you are in. The command-line unlock scripts use the same API.
Each service locates IPs with its own database, and they don't always agree: the same proxy can be in Japan for one and Hong Kong for another. Some services also turn away datacenter IPs and known VPNs. The country shown is the one DMM TV itself sees.
Proxy apps (Clash, Surge, Shadowrocket and the like) send different sites over different routes. A script on a server only tests that server's IP. This page visits each service from your browser, over the route you normally use for it.
How reliable a result is, most reliable first. Official API: the service's own region API says whether it works. Its location: the service's servers say which country they place you in, checked against the countries it publishes. Redirect test: whether the service sent you to its "not available" page. Guess: the service lets nothing be read; the page only knows it opens, and takes the country other services place you in.
Your proxy rules may send them through different servers, or the services use different IP databases. When that happens, the page lists which services see which country.
AI services compare your browser's time zone with your IP's country. A time zone in China with an IP in the US looks like a proxy and can trigger stricter checks.
No. Your browser visits each service directly; this site only serves the page and never sees your results. Use Hide IPs before a screenshot.
